In addition, because the device uses existing cat3 wiring, LAN and cat5 cable upgrades are not necessary. Comes in 12 or 24 port configurations and is compatible with over 100 legacy digital handset types (Norstar, Meridian-1, P-Phone, Avaya Definity, NEC Dterm, Ericsson, Panasonic, Toshiba, Siemens). Portico connects directly to a premise based IP PBX platform (such as Asterisk, Avaya, Cisco and more) or to a hosted IP telephony platform.
